Andrea began making hats after falling in love with the craft during her studies in London, England at The American Intercontinental University.
After graduating from Western Michigan University, she continued to design in her Lake Michigan hometown of Pentwater, and now currently resides in the quirky city of Ypsilanti, Michigan.
When making her hats, Andrea uses the centuries old technique of shaping (blocking) the felt or straw on a block from her expansive collection of vintage and modern hat blocks.
Andrea is co-owner of the North American Millinery Group which produces Millinery Meet Up, the largest millinery education event in the US, and The American Institute of Millinery Education, a virtual learning format featuring instructors from around the world.
